Social networking sites really get us updated with our friends. I just learned recently that a friend of mine did the design for the invitations and backdrop for the birthday of a friend’s daughter.

The design caught my attention because these were all in black and white. In a generation of colored designs, black and whites really stand out because they are classic. Anyway, I learned that the theme of the party, which was a debut, was the gangsters and molls of the 1920s era. Guests were asked to wear period get ups in black and red or else they will not be allowed to enter. The cake was really cool, with a lot of trimmings that reminded people of the good ‘ol days.

You know what their giveaways were? Bullets! Yep! As in empty bullets and they just put a sticker on it to indicate that it was from this event. I am surprised that they did not give out free cigars during the event just for the fun of it.
