HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!

Last Saturday, my daughter Micah Izabel and I went to watch their school’s film showing at Robinsons Place Bacolod. We watched Kamoteng Kahoy, a story about the food poisoning that happened a few years back in Bohol which caused a number of elementary students to die instantaneously. It was a very touching movie.

Anyway, after the movie, we went and ate at Greenwich Pizza. As usual, we had their Lasagna Supreme and I ordered an additional Pizza Fries. Pizza Fries is their new food item. They turned simple fries into delicious pizza flavored fries with pizza sauce on the side. It was delicious and of course, another addition to my favorite food trip items!

Last Sunday was my 31st Birthday. Since it was my birthday, my children said that I should have a birthday cake. So they want me to buy myself a birthday cake. Since I don’t have the budget, mu husband and I decided to buy these cute chocolate cupcakes. At first, I only thought they were cute but after tasting it, I concluded that it was worth the buy. The cupcakes tasted like a chocolate cake that were using premium chocolates! It was so yummilicious!

Last Monday, I went to the bank to complain about that un-dispensed cash that I withdrawn last Friday. After the filing the complaint, I felt hungry and remembered that I was not able to take my lunch yet. So, I went to Chinky’s, a local restaurant here in Bacolod City and ordered lunch.

Since I am an avid pork eater, I ordered a Stir Fried Pork in Java Sauce plus regular Coke. This is my first time to order this at Chinky’s as it seems they had a revamp their menu. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it that much. I thought that the Java sauce was kind too sweet for my taste. I think I am not into sweets when it comes to major meals. As you remembered in my previous entries, I really didn’t like Chow King’s Orange Chicken either.

One of our preferred places if we dine-out is at SM City Bacolod Food Court and our favorite food stall there is Skoro Express. My husband and I love the variety of Filipino food they have.

Last month, June 2010, SM City Bacolod Food Court celebrated the Philippine Independence by having a Filipino Food Festival. Every food stall renting at the food court will give out free 1.5L Coke for every purchase of their 300 pesos worth of meal.

So, when my mom, the kids and I went to SM City to buy some stuff, we went and eat at Skoro Express. We availed their Filipino Food Festival meal. This includes 3 rice, pochero de cebu, bakareta and caldreta/pork adobo but in our case, we chose the pork adobo plus the FREE 1.5L Coke.

As for the taste of the package, it was good but that was it. We never availed of it again. We preferred buying our own choice of viands instead of getting packaged meals.

I had my OB check-up yesterday. So when the doctor’s secretary took my weight, I asked her how much I gained. She said in my check-up last March 12, 2010, I weighed around 129lbs. Then after two months plus, I am now 135lbs. Therefore, I gained 6lbs in two months. That is 3lbs per month, as in one kilo plus per month!!

Then, I was looking for something or someone to blame. So, I blamed this delicious meal from Greenwich Pizza. I hate you!

Last May 29, 2010, I had my baby Bella Grace dedicated to the Lord. Since I am not really a good cook, I opted to have the small event catered. So these pictures are the food we ordered for her little event. The food were delicious and very much affordable.

When my daughter and I went to our Date Day last week, we went to Cafe Bob’s to eat. This is what i ordered from them, Mocha Frappe and Chocolate Muffin. I always loved Mocha Frappe but their chocolate muffin was so hard that both my daughter and I was not able to finish it.

My husband and I went to SM City Bacolod to buy a few things that we needed in the house. Since I am hungry (actually I am always hungry when I am outside), I decided to look for a fast food chain to eat. So my husband suggested that we should eat at Red Ribbon because it is one of the less crowded fast food chains in the mall.

So above is the photo of my order – A Red Ribbon Spaghetti with Chicken Lollipops. The spaghetti was OK but the chicken lollipops are not that great.

I was busy looking for corsets when I remembered that today is Friday. So, I immediately looked for a recent picture to feature for my entry today at Food Trip Friday.

I am always fond of eating inside the home and even outside the house. One of my favorite fast food chains is ChowKing. I love eating their Congee, Pork Siomai and Plain Tofu while my husband loves Braised Beef and Plain Tofu too!

Last Monday, we went to the mall and ate after we bought some things from the groceries. We ordered the same favorites except this time we added Orange Chicken. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it. The sauce used was too sweet for my taste buds.
