Vacation Needed

Most of us want to experience the time of our lives. We want to experience the best vacations that we could afford. If money is available, we could always book for any European cruises all we want. The point is… taking a vacation always make us feel good and relaxed!!

As for me, I want to take a vacation, a breather from all the pressures of life. I want to bask at the warm waters of a nearby hot spring or run at ay white shiny beaches under the sun. I just want to feel careless and free. But unfortunately, I could not afford to do so right now. We have limited finances as my husband has decided to take their company’s offer to get paid and end his work than be reassigned to another place. So, we need to save as much as we can and avoid all unnecessary expenses.

Anyway, if we can rise up from this situation, I am still hoping that a vacation will be seen soon in the horizon. I believe that my family and I needs one badly!!

Diaper Cakes

I just recently installed a “money making” contextual advertising program. Every time you open a window, it opens suggestive sites related to what you have opened. So, when I was searching for cakes and diapers online, few of their suggested sites talked about wedding cake toppers and diaper cakes.

Since I had the window in front of me for suggested sites, I immediately clicked on diaper cakes. Ever since I encountered this word, an idea came into my mind of having my own diaper cake business. Diaper cakes are not common here in our area, so why not start a business which is something cool and original right?

September for Us

September is a special month for us because it will be the month our Baby Bella Grace will turn one year old. That will also commemorate one month and two days after her corrective surgery for her hernia. Aside from that, September is also the start of the “BER” months which means we need to begin preparing Christmas cards to be sent to friends and families. This year, I am planning to order in advance so that I will avail of much lesser cost and of course, more time to send them.

So, how will September be for you? Do you have any plans or special events in your family?

How to Prepare Homemade Skinless Longanisa

Visit www.pinoy-recipes.com for more mouthwatering Pinoy recipe. Homemade skinless longanisa is one of my favorite Pinoy recipe. I really like having this for breakfast, especially when it is served with garlic fried rice and fried eggs. I don’t like buying the longanisa from the wet market because it’s either too sweet or too pink or has too much fat. I am also not sure about how clean it is so I would rather make my own. It may not look like the longanisa that you see everywhere, but it taste the same (if not better) and I know for sure that it is clean. If you also make this at home, you can control how much fat you want in it. Longanisa is basically some ground pork cured with garlic, vinegar, black pepper, and sugar. Most of the time it has sausage casing, but you can also buy it skinless. I could not find any sausage casing here in our area so I made a skinless longanisa instead. Nunnie likes it so I know I made it right. I like my longanisa sweet, but on this Pinoy recipe video, I did not put much sugar because Nunnie does not like sweet meat. Anyway, feel free to adjust the sugar content however you want. I have heard about the Vigan longanisa and they said that it is pretty good. It is not sweet but it has a very unique and good flavor and I can’t wait to go back to the Philippines so that I can have it and find out what it’s like. I wonder if it’s the “sukang iloko” that makes it good. Anyway, we’ll see when get back. Join Us On Facebook www.facebook.com Follow
